Youth Must Enter Politics Before Politics Decides Their Future : Thakur Kshitij Singh

Politics is not just about elections, political parties, or holding public office. Politics shapes every aspect of our lives. It determines the quality of our education, the opportunities available for employment, the ease of doing business, the strength of our national security, the development of our cities and villages, and ultimately the future of Bharat. Whether we choose to participate or not, politics will continue to influence our lives every single day.

That is why I strongly believe that the youth of India must enter politics before politics decides their future.

For too long, many young people have viewed politics as something distant or dirty. They believe that staying away from public life keeps them above it. But history teaches us the exact opposite. When capable, honest, disciplined, and patriotic youth refuse to participate, they do not make politics cleaner—they simply leave the responsibility to others. A vacuum is always filled. If good people choose silence, someone else will make the decisions that affect their lives.

India is the world’s largest democracy, and it is also one of the youngest nations. This demographic strength is our greatest advantage. But this advantage will only become meaningful if our youth are willing to lead, serve, and shoulder responsibility. Democracy cannot survive on spectators alone. It requires active citizens who are prepared to work for the nation instead of merely criticizing those who do.

Today, social media has made it easy to express opinions. A post, a comment, or a viral video may create discussion, but discussion alone does not build roads, improve schools, strengthen national security, create jobs, or transform society. Real change requires action, discipline, sacrifice, and leadership. Bharat does not need a generation that only comments from behind a screen. Bharat needs a generation with the courage to step forward, participate in public life, and lead from the front.

Every young Indian should understand that politics is ultimately about service. It is about solving problems, listening to people, making difficult decisions, and placing the nation above personal interest. Leadership is not measured by popularity but by responsibility. Those who genuinely love their country should never hesitate to contribute to its governance and development.

As a Rajput, I have always believed that honour is not inherited—it is earned. It is earned through courage during difficult times, sacrifice when duty calls, discipline in everyday life, and unwavering service to the nation. Our history is filled with warriors and leaders who placed Dharma and Bharat above themselves. Their legacy reminds us that true leadership is built on character, not comfort.

The same spirit is needed today. India does not merely need ambitious young people; it needs young people with integrity, vision, patriotism, and the determination to serve selflessly. Our generation has the energy, innovation, and ideas to solve modern challenges. We must use these strengths not only to build successful careers but also to strengthen our democracy and contribute to nation-building.

Politics should never be viewed as a profession reserved for a few. It is a responsibility that belongs to every citizen. Whether you choose to serve through elected office, social work, policy-making, grassroots organizations, or public engagement, your contribution matters. Every responsible citizen has the power to shape the future of our nation.

The future of Bharat will not be written by those who remain indifferent. It will be written by those who choose responsibility over excuses, service over comfort, and leadership over silence. Every generation receives an opportunity to leave its mark on history. This is our generation’s moment.

My message to every young Indian is simple and sincere: if you truly love Bharat, do not stand on the sidelines. Participate. Learn. Serve. Lead. Let your voice become action, your ideas become solutions, and your patriotism become public service. Our nation deserves young leaders who possess courage, character, and commitment.

The future of India will belong to those who have the courage to build it—not merely those who watch it unfold.
